KoaPine NCLEX Newsletter 10/6/17

October 6, 2017

Hi Nursing Friends,

I’m seriously going to attempt my weekly newsletter. It’s important to me because I want you all to know what I’m up to and how I’m helping students pass the NCLEX Nursing exam, since I am border-line obsessed with this test.

This week I found out a lovely student of mine, in Massachusetts, passed the NCLEX on the 3rd try. She did about four sessions with me and my ECG webinar. On her own she did several months of studying, practicing questions and writing up nugget pages for content she didn’t know. She mentioned that she felt Uworld.com questions prepared her well, due to the very thorough rationales along with the pictures they provide for content review. Thanks Uworld, you are doing a great job!

I have had quite a busy week with private tutoring my hard-working students and rolling out my medication webinars that I offer to my current students. In fact, for me I have been quite busy making sure the content we go over is accurate (I try, but I am human) and that the questions we review together are representative of content you are highly likely to see on the test. I’m getting great feedback on how helpful they are. This week we went over medications for gastrointestinal, herbs, immune, maternity, musculoskeletal, neuro, newborn and oncology. The content is like candy on a plate – I love it! (I can’t believe I actually said that about meds!)

I got into a niche of helping repeat test-takers and students who are high-risk for not passing the NCLEX. This has been absolutely eye-opening to the struggles students go through. I also help nursing students who are taking the test for the first time. As of now, I am not meant to be a full-on content review course, there are plenty of great reviews our there already. However, I am a supplement for what students find most difficult to learn and just feel like they “need more”. More webinars will be coming up and I’ll be sure to keep you posted.

Have a good weekend,
